Forwards

Luke Panchisin, Boston Advantage

Panchisin, a selection to – and one of the GMU Sport Stars of the Game in – the NCDC All-Star Best of the Best Game, moved from fifth in NCDC scoring to second during February, standing now with 59 points in 46 games..

The ‘02 from Lincolnshire, Ill., put up seven goals and six assists for 13 points in just nine February games. This started with a 2-2-4 line to kick off the month against the Twin City Thunder. He proceeded to put up six more points over his next four games. He registered two game-winning goals to remain in a tie for first in deciding tallies this year. With 65 points, Panchisin is the Advantage’s all-time leading scorer. 

Dominic Murphy, Boston Junior Bruins 

A January acquisition by the Junior Bruins, and an incoming Holy Cross recruit, Murphy (‘03/Worcester, Mass.) came back after originally playing in 2021-22. Murphy put up a 2-6-8 line during six February games. The 2021 NCDC Entry Draft pick by the Junior Bruins now has 15 points in 10 NCDC games this season. He closed out the month with a 1-3-4 line against the Islanders Hockey Club and also had three assists in a split weekend against the Rockets Hockey Club. 

Bryce Bollman, New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs

Bollman was among the most generous players in the NCDC last month, giving out nine assists as the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs were able to remain in first place at the end of the month. They continue to have tough competition for the final top spot, but players like Bollman just keep producing. He put up a 1-9-10 line in just seven February games. He had two three-assist games, exactly a week apart, against Twin City (Feb. 15) and the Islanders Hockey Club (Feb. 22). With 42 points in 46 games, Bollman stands as the Monarchs’ leading scorer heading into March. Bollman was an NCDC All-Star Best of the Best Game selection. 

Defense

Conor Lally, Boston Advantage 

Lally (‘02/Scarborough, Maine) put up a 2-6-8 line during the month of February, keeping himself among the league’s defenseman scoring leaders, ranking fourth with his 35 points this year. A two-year Advantage standout, Lally is tied for second all-time in Advantage points with 58 and their top scorer among blueliners. Defensively, he recently posted a +5, blocked eight shots and posted four hits during the month of February, along with 85 takeaways. He represented the Advantage well at the 2023 NCDC All-Star Best of the Best Game. 

Jack Barbro, South Shore Kings

The leading defenseman scorer in the division (and third in the league) continued the outstanding work he did prior to his January arrival in Foxboro, putting up seven points in 10 games. He also had 87 takeaways, 12 blocked shots and eight hits over the course of the month. Barbro improved to 37 points, and skated in the NCDC Best of the Best All-Star Game. He also became the first NCDC defenseman this year to post a hat trick, on Feb. 22 vs. the Thunder. 

Goaltender

Jacob Torgner, South Shore Kings

Another NCDC veteran who played in the NCDC All-Star Best of the Best Game, Torgner had a monster of a February. He won six of his eight games, going 6-1-1-0, along with posting a shutout on Feb. 3, with 25 saves on as many shots against the Boston Junior Bruins. That was his second of five straight wins. Even in his only loss, on Feb. 24 to Twin City, he was strong with 32 saves on 34 shots. For the season, Torgner is second in goals against average (2.05), and third in goals against average.
